This page provides troubleshooting information for EVC 2.
What to do first when an issue occurs
Most issues can be solved with the following steps:
- Update the mobile app to the latest version via Google Play or the App Store.
- In your charger settings, update the charger firmware to the latest version (see the firmware update guide).
- Reboot the device from the charger settings.
How to check the charger firmware version
Follow these steps to check your current EVC 2 firmware version in the app and update it. Always make sure your charger has the latest firmware.
- Go to the app settings and press Device info.
- Press Check for updates.
- The current firmware version is shown at the top.

How to download the troubleshoot file
Follow these steps to download the troubleshoot file in the app.
- Go to Diagnostics.
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Tap Troubleshoot file.
- Tap Download troubleshoot file.
- Wait for the ‘file downloaded’ message.
- Select the downloaded file.
- Tap the icon in the top right corner and press Share.
Note: For best results, download the file during a charging session, so that more details about the current situation are saved.
